HI, yet again another interesting action captured live in the morning hours at Chennai. This is a common scene for all of us, where people buy morning newspaper and scrutinize it including commas and full stops.
Whether you stay in Urban India or Rural India, this is a sight you will never get to miss out.
Incidentally these blue-collar people who pick up the morning newspaper chew it full, sitting next to the shop itself and mainly go through political/sports/entertainment news.
These people will never miss a single day, in maintaining this daily morning ritual as they are early risers who are good and disciplined and mighty in their own way. Pause for a minute to speak to them, and you will be amazed that they are treasure trove of information.
The question that comes back to us is, are we spending at least 30 minutes in a day in terms of picking up a book connected to our personal development or any book that brings different dimension to our thinking and makes us imbibe a new skill that aids our growth!
The people in the picture (Blue Collar) may belong to the common strata of the society but there is something we can learn from them. As a White-Collar Executive, if you don’t have a daily ritual of reading a book that helps you in your job and makes you more resourceful, you will continue doing the monotonous like a “depreciating asset with diminishing value”.
While your smart phone demands a version update every fortnight, which you do religiously…………, why can’t you update yourself??? Executive Development is the need of the hour and if you don’t, you will be living in 2017 Part 2.
With every passing week, keep progressing as an Appreciating Asset.
The Executive Coaching, I have done and continue doing for many across Chennai/Hyd/Blr has orbited people to the next level in their professional and personal life and all I did was, released their handbrakes.
Please do remember—“Your income will never far exceed your personal development” and it is as true as Gravitational Force
