This blog should have been written by me on the day of IKEA store inauguration, as I landed in the Hyderabad City that morning on August 9th.
Waiting for my baggage at the conveyor belt, I noticed these 4 boxes with a message printed on it, which is highly self-explanatory.
Towards evening, we have seen videos circulating on WhatsApp & Facebook, where there is mass human exodus towards the IKEA Store as if there is no tomorrow.
Could be funny for few and could be a serious case study for many Gurus on why people exhibited such “Migratory Behavior”.
In my opinion, it’s the power of advertising not only by splashing and spreading across everywhere, but meticulous attention and effort of not leaving a single stone unturned to connect and reconnect with the market in every possible way and to the minutest detail.
We have seen and come across many companies displaying 70mm screen seize HD quality vinyl printed banners at vantage locations for months together which is a good strategy. But I have never come across a company, which will think to the level of advertising itself on carton boxes, when they ensured that the market is already heated up with their advertising.
As Jack Canfield says in his book, The Success Principles, “99% percent is a bitch and 100% is a breeze”, and I think many of us some times stop at 99% when we are about to hit the Gold Mine.
My 2 cents- Whether you work as a Project Leader or Team Leader or Head of Business or Managing a Small to Medium Company or Managing a huge business or a working Executive, never ever stop at 99% – how IKEA never discounted the 4 boxes in spite of boiling the market with traditional forms and non traditional forms of advertising.
Grow Every Day.
