While this blog is not about Business and Sales strategy but it about how people are moving at high speeds towards self-destruction, leading to silent deaths.
Being a 2:45 hours flight, I was carrying a book to keep myself engaged, but the whole flight time turned otherwise
This family is just at an arms distance and I started observing this man who appears to be a successful, could be an Executive/Entrepreneur. Throughout the flight, he kept on chewing pan masala, one packet after the other as if there is no tomorrow, and for me it was scary than a turbulent flight.
The common reason many people give, to justify their addiction is “PROFESSIONAL PRESSURES”.
THE TRUTH IS:
Then the question comes to all the gurus of addiction is, why to grub that garbage when it is fast tracking you to silent deaths with fatal ailments.
Sit and think, are you doing justice
With all types of crimes happening in the world that does not even spare month-old kids, do you want your family to be vulnerable. Money will never give them the security ring but your mere presence does.
When you are hit with a major critical illness, your company/your bosses will not pause for long at your sick bed nor may not pause at all, except for your spouse and kids with all the gloom and pain.
Please don’t burn your internal organs with cigarettes and other forms of tobacco products on the pretext of professional pressures and tensions.
Set high standards for yourself and never be controlled by a tobacco product. We are here to conquer and not to be conquered. You may think it is stylish to hold a cigarette in your hand but certainly not stylish to hold your Oncology reports, CT scan or MRI reports in the crowded expensive hospitals.
Your family needs YOU–Time to Introspect.
As a Psychologist and Psychotherapist, I worked with many individuals to come out of their addictions and it’s possible to break these habits with ease like tying your shoe lace. IT’S ALL IN THE MIND !!
